First Day Of School

Hayden was not very excited about school but mommy was! Madison was very happy to start school she wanted to go to bed at 4:00pm so school would come quick! I will update everyone on how there first day was. Hayden is in 3rd grade and Madison is in 1st grade. And by the way thats water on her shirt not stains!!! Ha Ha

Amanda's Baby Shower

What a wonderful day! We had so much fun with games, food and chatting with one another. Amanda has a few more months to go and we are all excited to see what Seth is going to look like and the joy he will bring to all of us. This is the food table, we had black bean salsa with chips, a fruit bouquet and chicken salad. We also had lime punch. Here is Amanda and Madison posing for a picture of the center pieces, Madison helped Amanda grandma Judy make it, they had a great time.

Hayden starts Soccer

Soccer finally starts for Hayden, he was so excited and loved every minute of it. It is a co-ed team, and the coach actually knows where Im from, ya Norborne! Who knows where that is? Ha Ha He is the only one I have ever met from that close to me. Just thought I would share that. Here he is in action!

Alligators, Hurricanes and SNAKES!

So I decided to clean out the tree house today while Val was mowing, Bad Idea! One side of the tree house fell so I was trying to avoid the spiders, ants and leaves that were trying to get me, I asked Val to come up there and help nail the board to the tree. I told the kids to get back because I was sweeping leaves and spraying bug spray, so they were sitting on the swing watching , until I hit the top of the roof. Madison said" Mom there's a snake"! I said." where" and she said, " It's going up the tree", Val and I looked at each other, Ya we were up the tree where it was heading, so Val and I took about a second to get down the tree house. Picture this, Me sliding down the slide on my feet! I was so scared. Well to make a long story short Val killed it with a shovel. whew! I don't think I have the guts to get back up there...eek!

Bring Your Bike Inside....

Its pretty bad when you send your child outside to play and the next thing you know shes dragging her bike inside to play. She told me its too hot.Valerie loves her bike and she loves to go on bike rides, I have a seat for her on the back of my bike and she loves it.
Watermelon is good when its hot, it keeps the kids well hydrated. Valerie ate so much of it her diaper leaked.

Graduation, heat and more heat

Today was graduation day for Val and his Recruits. This was are finale of him having to be a DI. He starts his new job Monday in the S-3 shop. I think we will like this job because he has normal hours and will be home on Saturday and Sunday. Wow! We are so excited we deserve this so much. Val has went through a lot in the last four years, he needs a break and so do I. I don't have any pictures of graduation because Val was sick this morning and had to go to work not feeling well and had so much work to do for the end of the cycle he didn't even get to go to the grad. Well that's about it for the Tunnell Clan, the kids start school on the 20Th. Its so hot here that we can't go outside or anything so we are on the count down for school. Love to all of you!

Weekend Photos

Valerie was quiet yesterday for awhile so I had Madison go see what she was doing, and come to find out she was playing with pet shop toys on the bed. She had put her couch on the bed and I guess she just got tired, so here she is sleeping, I think she took a pretty big nap for about three hours.

Our Wonderful Kids

Madison is getting so big! I can't believe she is going into the first grade. She is so beautiful and an all around great daughter.
Valerie will be three in October, she also is getting big. She loves to wear dresses and lip gloss!
The kids are really tan from going to the pool, we actually have went so much they don't like to go anymore...
Hayden looks huge in this picture, he will be 9 in February. Where does the time go!
